The Bands of America Grand National Championships is recognized as the premier marching band event in the nation. Ninety bands from across America will participate, including some of the finest, most progressive bands in the activity today.

In 2008 the event moved to its new home in the new Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. The annual event also features exhibition performances by outstanding college bands from across the country.

The field competition features 90 bands in Preliminary competition on Thursday and Friday, with up to 36 bands advancing to Semi-Finals during the day on Saturday. Twelve bands advance to Finals on Saturday evening.

The event also includes an Expo of more than 100 booths, Student Leadership Workshop with Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, the Indianapolis Public Schools Marching Band Tournament and other special events and clinics.

• Tickets are available online at MusicForAll.org or by phone at 800.848.BAND (800.848.2263).
• Online tickets must be ordered at least two weeks prior to the event.
• Tickets are also available at the gate on the day of the show.

• Video or audio recording equipment are not allowed in the stadium.
• Any still type camera may be used. Family, friends and fans may take still photos of BOA events for personal use only. The images may not be sold or otherwise distributed, without the written permission of Bands of America (or Music for All). Any still camera (making film or digital still pictures) is allowed into and may be used from the spectator seating area of any venue. Cameras (of any kind) may not be used on the field. People with field passes or name badges must go into the stands to take digital or film pictures. Tripods or other similar equipment that may obstruct the view or path of travel of others in seating areas are also not allowed.

Bands of America Regional Championships are a program of Music For All. The organization uniquely combines regional and national music-event programming with awareness campaigns and advocacy aimed at expanding access to music in schools and communities. A 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization, Music for All promotes the widely documented lifetime benefits of music education and addresses the growing concern that public policies have created barriers to providing music and arts programs as part of a basic education for all children.
