Heralded as one of our nation's finest tributes to veterans, the annual Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2003.Kenosha is located along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, 60 miles north of Chicago and 25 miles south of Milwaukee. The event's date and location makes it a convenient tour stop for midwestern bands heading to the East Coast for July 4th festivities.
Along with marching bands and drill teams, the 130-unit parade features military groups, scout troops, antique vehicles and other popular parade units. This year's parade includes a salute to the anniversary of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Marching bands are paid an appearance fee which varies depending on band size and distance travelled. The performances are non-competitive.
- A Renaissance Faire is held in nearby Bristol on Saturday and Sunday.
