2010 Portland Rose Festival KeyBank Grand Floral Parade Lineup


"Cleanest and greenest" festival to feature bicycle-powered float

 The Grand Floral Parade is the crown jewel of the Portland Rose Festival and draws about 400,000 spectators to the 4.2-mile route. PORTLAND, Ore. (May 27, 2010) — The 2010 Portland Rose Festival KeyBank Grand Floral Parade will feature 18 marching bands, dozens of equestrians and 15 floral-covered floats including the first-ever float powered by bicycles. The parade begins at 10:00 AM (Pacific) on Saturday, June 12.

The Grand Floral Parade will be broadcast regionally on KGW NewsChannel 8 and Northwest Cable News beginning at 10:00 AM. Curbside viewing is free of charge and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserved seating is available in the Memorial Coliseum and in premium chairs and bleachers along the television area outside the Coliseum.

For one hundred years, the Portland Rose Festival has served families and individuals from Oregon and beyond with events and programs that spotlight the riches of the Pacific Northwest heritage and environment while offering colorful examples of many international cultures.
