More than 550 theatres to present Big Loud & Live 8 on Thursday, August 11

JULY 21, 2011 — The precise formations and pulsating beats of the Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championships Prelims once again march into movie theaters in the exclusive, annual event Big Loud & Live 8. This rousing competition will be broadcast LIVE from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to more than 550 select movie theaters on Thursday, August 11 at 6:30 PM Eastern (5:30 Central/4:30 Mountain/3:30 Pacific).

Tickets for Big Loud & Live 8 are available online at FathomEvents.com as well as presenting box offices (theaters and participants are subject to change).

Presented by NCM Fathom and DCI, Big Loud & Live 8 will feature more than five hours of electrifying performances from 40 drum corps competing in the 2011 DCI World Championships. The broadcast will feature the top 15 corps performances in their entirety along with highlights recapping the competition from earlier in the day.

The annual "Big, Loud & Live" series continues to grow, with more than 38,400 fans in attendance last year at movie theaters nationwide. The event has allowed fans who are unable attend the World Championships to experience and enjoy the thrills and drama of the world's best drum corps at the climax of the season.

Big, Loud & Live 8 will be shown in more than 550 select movie theaters including AMC Entertainment Inc., Celebration! Cinema, Cinemark USA Inc., Cobb Theatres, Georgia Theatre Company, Goodrich Quality Theatres, Hollywood Theaters, Kerasotes Showplace Theatres, Malco Theatres, Marcus Theatres, National Amusements, Rave Motion Pictures and Regal Entertainment Group movie theaters, as well as Carolina Theatre (Asheville, NC), Palace Cinema 9 (South Burlington, VT) and Penn Cinema (Lititz, PA), through NCM's exclusive Digital Broadcast Network.
