Bands marching in the 2016 Rose Parade will also perform on the field during Bandfest at Pasadena City College December 29-30. PASADENA, Calif. The annual procession begins at 8:00 AM (Pacific) on Friday, January 1.

This year's parade theme — "Find Your Adventure" — grew out of a unique partnership between the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and the U.S. National Park Service. The 2016 Rose Parade will help shine light on the centennial celebration of our nation's national parks.

Award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns will serve as the 2016 Tournament of Roses Grand Marshal. Burns has directed and produced some of the most admired documentaries about the history of the United States, and has been honored with 14 Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards and two Oscar nominations.

Award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns is the 2016 Tournament of Roses Grand Marshal. "We're so honored to have someone like Ken, who has devoted his life to telling the story of America, lead the Rose Parade," Tournament of Roses President Mike Matthiessen said.

In a late development, the Latin Band Pedro Molina from Guatemala will unfortunately not be appearing in the parade after the band was unable to secure travel visas.

The Rose Parade will be broadcast on ABC, Hallmark Channel, HGTV, KTLA, NBC, RFD-TV, Sky Link TV and Univision.

Curbside viewing is free of charge and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pasadena city ordinance allows curbside space along the parade route to be occupied no earlier than noon on the day before the parade.
