The National Veterans Parade Foundation, a non-profit organization tasked with the production of the National Veterans Parade, is proud to present the very first National Salute to our Men and Women that have served in our Armed Forces.
The National Veterans Parade and Festival weekend provides an opportunity for both the parade and an optional field show performance, since the November date coincides well with the end of the fall field marching season.
The weekend begins with a planned National Veterans Field Show on the National Mall on Saturday, November 8, at 11:00 AM, a chosen time which honors the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month of signing of the Armistice that ended WWI.
High school marching bands will be able to present a 10-minute field show or optional standing performance with one of the most iconic photo opportunities as a backdrop that this country offers.
On Sunday, November 9, bands will begin to step off at Noon from 6th street at Constitution Ave and march west up the Avenue.
Parade organizers honor the loyal relationships that Music Educators have with their travel professionals, that allows group leaders to create their own itineraries, and if needed, we provide assistance to school groups whenever possible or needed. The National Veterans Parade Foundation does raise funds for parade production, as well as Veterans causes such as Veterans Food Bank, and Veterans Canine Companionship for Suicide Prevention.
