The annual Calgary Stampede celebration loves marching music, and Showbands Live gives bands two opportunities to perform on the field in addition
to parade, standstill and drumline battle events. The Calgary Stetson Show Band marched into Showbands Live prelims with a first-place performance of "Secret Garden," still riding
high after capturing top honors two days earlier in the
Calgary Stampede Parade. Bishop Grandin High School (Calgary, AB) placed second with an entertaining look at the world of Dr. Seuss.
